Feb 25, 2020 · Update to my recoil spring question Update: After watching several videos of various unboxings and disassembly and the opportunity to look at two different new Sig P320 X5 Legions in two area gun shops, I found that the spring is on the guide rod with the "open coil" end on the guide rod and the "closed coil" end is inserted into the muzzle end of the slide.
