As far as settings go, I generally set the thrall to "guard me" and increase the follow distance to 10 or 15 m. They seem to do fine as purge defenders. I seldom use many archer thralls. In any case, enjoy your first purge.The Exile Lands legendary armor is really good now being on par with if not better than aspect gear, only issue is that you can't Transmog them unfortunately. Stat wise I feel building for health armor is arguebly best, pretty much no creature in the game except the arena champ should be able to keep up with 800~ health..
