When mine went to stop engine / 5 mph, it turned out to be a wire in the main after treatment wiring harness went kaput. 2 days later it was fixed after being towed in. @bzinger just had his towed in for 5 mph derate / stop engine with bad DEF tank issue. Might wanna start looking for a decent tow service and where a dealer is.The ACM and Engine Control Module (ECM) are in direct communication to make sure the system is operational. This also regulates your DPF system and all the sensors associated with that system. The dreaded fault code that causes the 5 MPH derate! This fault is related to the “SCR Inducement” which is what regulates your truck to this derate. As a result, passive/active DPF regeneration is disabled as well. When a problem arises, you have 10 hours to fix the problem or else it goes into an EGR derate. This EGR derate on a Paccar limits your engine power up to 25-40%. The loss in power will prompt you to seek service at a repair shop or dealer. OUR SOCIAL:Found my decomp pipe was incorrectly installed and cleaned the massive crystal buildup out then reinstalled it. Also did a full test on the aftertreatment harness and engine harness. No issues found. They then did 2 50 mile road tests amd a regen found everything in spec. Got 200 miles and boom max derate towed in yet again.The dreaded fault code that causes the 5 MPH derate! Information – Aftertreatment SCR Operator Inducement – Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range ...The derate is due to the nox sensor f/c. Any aftertreatmemt related f/c will cause a derate in these engines. That fault is an information only fault code and will clear as soon as the 3232 goes inactive. I mistook this f/c at first glance for another one and gave out some inaccurate advice..
